Privacy policy

Your data is yours. No ads. No selling. Export everything. Delete everything.

Effective date: October 13, 2026

Well Lived is operated by Brandags, LLC ("Well Lived", "we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the Well Lived app and the welllived.io website, why, who else handles it, and what you can do about it. You can contact us at support@welllived.io or by mail at 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801.

The app is in private beta. Paid subscriptions are planned for public launch.

The short version

  • We collect what you choose to log and the data from devices you choose to connect, so we can show it back to you.
  • We don't sell your data, share it for advertising, or show ads.
  • Some features send data to an AI model. They only send what that feature needs, and the AI provider doesn't train on it.
  • You can export all of your data and delete your account at any time.

What we collect

Account information. Your email address, your password (stored only as a one-way hash), your time zone and the preferences you set.

What you log. Time entries, notes, energy ratings, projects and activities, people you add, goals, values, journal and dream entries, books and films, and anything else you enter in a tracker you turn on.

Health and intimacy data you choose to add. Depending on what you use: meals and meal photos, workouts, symptoms and health issues, intimacy entries, lab results, weight, and data from devices you connect, such as sleep, heart rate, heart-rate variability, steps and activity.

Photos you upload. Meal photos and photos of people you add. They're stored privately and shown only to you.

Payment information. Private beta invitations do not require a card. When paid plans launch, a payment provider will collect and process payment details. We will see your plan and payment status, never your full card number. We will name the provider here before we begin accepting payments.

Website visitors and the waitlist. If you join the waitlist, your email and the answers you give. The website uses Google Analytics to count visits and sign-ups, which sets cookies on welllived.io. Nothing you log in the app is sent to Google Analytics.

How we use it

  • To run the app and show your data back to you, including reports, patterns and suggestions.
  • To run the AI features you use (see below).
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
  • To email you about your account, billing and important changes. Product news only if you ask for it.

We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't sell it or share it with data brokers.

AI features

Some features use an AI model: describing your day to get entries drafted, meal photo estimates, dream readings, drafted check-ins for people, and suggestions from your data. When you use one, we send only the data that feature needs to Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic doesn't use data sent through its API to train its models. Data from a connected Oura ring or from Google Health (Fitbit, Pixel Watch and connected scales) is never sent to an AI model.

Dictation uses your browser's or phone's built-in speech recognition. In Google Chrome, that audio is processed by Google.

Data from Google (Fitbit, Pixel Watch and scales)

If you choose to connect a Fitbit or Pixel Watch, or a scale that syncs to Fitbit, Well Lived reads your data through the Google Health API, with the access you grant on Google's consent screen. The access is read-only: we never write to your Google account.

  • What we read: activity and fitness (steps, active minutes, calories, exercise sessions and heart rate during the day), sleep, and health measurements (resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, blood oxygen, weight and body fat).
  • How we use it: only to show it back to you inside Well Lived. That means your Health → Body and Workouts reports, the targets you set, and lining your heart rate up with the time you've logged so you can see how different activities affect you.
  • How we store it: in your account's database, separated from every other account, encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • Who we share it with: no one, except the hosting and database providers listed below, which store it on our behalf. We don't sell it, use it for advertising, use it to build profiles for anyone else, or send it to an AI model, and it isn't used to train any AI model.
  • Who can see it: you. Nobody at Well Lived reads it unless you ask us to for support, we need to for security, or the law requires it.
  • Stopping and deleting: disconnect in Settings → Health sources at any time. That revokes Well Lived's access at Google. Data already synced stays in your account until you delete it or delete your account, which removes it as described in "How long we keep it". You can also remove Well Lived's access from your Google Account's security settings.

Well Lived's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, and to the Google Health API's own developer and user data policy.

Consumer health data

Some of what you log is "consumer health data" under laws such as Washington's My Health My Data Act. For that data specifically:

  • What we collect: the categories listed under "Health and intimacy data you choose to add" above.
  • Where it comes from: you, and the devices or services you connect.
  • Why: to show it to you, line it up with the rest of your day, and produce the insights and summaries you ask for.
  • Who receives it: only the service providers listed below that need it to provide those features. We never sell it.
  • Your consent: we collect it only when you choose to log it or connect a device. You can stop at any time, and disconnect devices in Settings.
  • Your rights: you can see it, export it, and delete it. See "Your choices and rights".

Who else handles your data

We use these service providers to run Well Lived. They process data on our behalf and only for that purpose.

  • Vercel: hosting the app and website
  • Neon: the database where your data is stored, in the United States
  • Cloudflare: private storage for photos you upload
  • Anthropic: the AI features you use
  • Resend: account email and the waitlist
  • Google Analytics: counting visits to the website, not the app
  • Oura and Google Health: only if you connect a ring, watch or scale; we read data from them with your permission
  • A payment provider: card collection and subscription billing after paid plans launch; we will identify the provider before accepting payments

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety. If Well Lived is ever sold or merged, your data would move with it under this policy, and we'd tell you first.

How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our providers. Each account's data is separated inside the database itself, so one person's data can't appear in another person's account. Access to production data is limited to what's needed to run and support the service.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is active. When you ask to delete your account, we will remove its data from the live service within 30 days. Encrypted recovery backups may keep a copy until they rotate out under our backup schedule; we do not use backups to restore a deleted account to active service. We will publish a specific maximum backup period before public accounts open.

Your choices and rights

  • Export: download everything you've logged, in formats you can open anywhere, from Settings → Data & account.
  • Delete: delete individual entries, or delete your account and all of its data from Settings → Data & account.
  • Correct: edit anything you've entered.
  • Disconnect: remove a connected device at any time.
  • Ask us: email support@welllived.io or write to the address below to access, correct or delete your data, or to appeal a decision about a request. We'll answer within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under state law. We honor them wherever they apply.

Children

Well Lived is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

Where we operate

Well Lived is offered in the United States, and your data is stored and processed there.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email you before the change takes effect. The effective date at the top always shows the current version.
